Friday, June 21st is PRIDE NIGHT at the City of Sausalito’s summer music series, Jazz and Blues by the Bay. An annual event that brings hundreds of community members together for live music each week, this year’s event aims to specifically bring together the LGBTQ+ community in Sausalito. Sausalito Pride's mission is to honor, highlight, and uplift the LGBTQ+ community, culture, and heritage of Sausalito and the Sausalito Center for the Arts is thrilled to host this city-wide, Friday evening Pride event.

The Sausalito Center for the Arts is donating 10% of all art sales at this event in support of Sausalito Pride.
Town Night Out
Town Night Out on Caledonia Street is a key highlight of Sausalito Pride, an exciting new initiative by the nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the visibility of the LGBTQ+ community in Sausalito.
From 5-9pm on June 20, 2024, the evening aims to unite LGBTQ+ neighbors and allies in a celebration of diversity, inclusivity, and acceptance.
Guests can enjoy an array of signature cocktails, live music, and a raffle with enticing prizes.
This event promises an unforgettable evening, fostering community spirit and unity in Sausalito.

Pride LGBTQ Sail on the Matthew Turner
Join the Call of the Sea for a three hour sail aboard a traditionally rigged "Tall Ship" on San Francisco Bay. Their professional sailing crew is diverse and welcoming to the LGBTQ community. All ages are welcome.

SCA Pride Kick-off
Kick off Sausalito Pride this weekend at the Sausalito Center for the Arts!
This inaugural Pride event is the inspiration of Sausalito City Council member Janelle Kellman, and a committee comprised of local businesses, nonprofits and residents. The evening will start with an a capella concert presented by Til Dawn from Youth in Arts.
Refreshments will be served and are donated by the Spinnaker Restaurant to SCA. Come and share your pride!

Join us for a Celebration of LGBTQ+ Literature at Sausalito Books by the Bay!
Author Bill W. Jones (Bachelor Father: The First Single Man to Legally Adopt a Child in America) in conversation with Cheryl Popp of Sausalito Books by the Bay. Includes screening of the documentary A Family of My Own — The Bill Jones Story.

LGBTQ+ Pride Sail on the Matthew Turner
Join us on the Matthew Turner for an inclusive sail on the San Francisco Bay!
Matthew Turner is a 132’ wooden brigantine, built in Sausalito, CA, launched in 2017 and sailing the Bay since 2020. She is an unique educational platform, serving students of all ages in Seamanship, Marie Science, Nautical History and Team Building instruction. Contact us to arrange an educational sail for a group.
Call of the Sea is a nonprofit supporting on-the-water environmental educational programs to youth. Community Sails are a great way to share our mission and to help lower costs for educational sails. For more information, visit their website.
A ticket is required for all passengers, including infants. Children 17 and under must be accompanied and supervised at all times by an adult.

Pride Not Prejudice: Exhibition
SCA is proud to present Pride Not Prejudice in support of the Sausalito Pride Celebration.
Pride Not Prejudice: Meet the Artists Opening Reception
One of the original “gayborhoods” in the Bay Area, Sausalito has a history of welcoming all people and continues the tradition in 2023 with an inaugural Pride Celebration.

Pride Not Prejudice includes Homosocial, a project that celebrates queer culture. Founded in 2022 by artist Brian Van Camerik, Homosocial at its core is a collection of vintage photographs of same gendered couples and queer individuals displaying intimacy. The exhibit is presented in various art forms including photography, reliquaries and film.
LGBTQIA+ Art will showcase original work by twenty-eight accomplished LGBTQIA+ California artists. Curated by Charlie Barboni, the show will include two and three dimensional art encompassing all mediums by notable artists including Ajuan Mance, Clark Mitchell, Hunter Harvey, Shae Rocco, Wendy Franklin, Jun Gang, Joseph Abbati and others
